Pig Mania

A simple but fun game we used to play as kids was Pig Mania (also known as Pass the Pig). There isn't a lot to this game - basically two people play against each other taking turns rolling the "dice" (which are two small plastic pigs). Depending on how the pigs land you get different point values. The first person to 100 or the person with the most points after 10 rounds wins. That's it. Pretty easy, eh? And now there's even a version of this game that you can play online. Pig Out!

add this! + stumbleupon this + this is del.icio.us + digg this

  • I just bought Pass the Pigs at the Sydney Ferry dock gift shop in Sydney, BC, Canada. They go for $20. I liked Pass the pigs more because it has the infamous "Hog call" which adds a whole new dimension to this otherwise so boring game...actually, it's probably a drinking game, which is another way to make it more interesting, and socially acceptable to yell "soooeeee!" and energize the risk level.

  • I was recently on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada and bought Pass the Pig for $20!!! can't get over how expensive!! Anyhow, I saw it in 2 places up there. One was the Sydney ferry dock gift shop, also for $20. Having played Pigmania, I really liked Pass the Pig more. It's actually probably supposed to be a drinking game, since it's lots more fun for the disinhibited. The difference between the old and new versions is that when the pig tossing player has over 20 points, any other player can "hog call" (yell "Soooeeee!") then predict the pig's positions...the game becomes
more interesting at that point, and the hog calls more fun and outrageous.
