Pigs of Summer

The St. Paul Saints are a minor league baseball team located in St. Paul, Minnesota. They are also apparently pig lovers. Not only is their costumed mascot a pig named Mudonna, but every year they also adopt a live pig mascot. This year's live pig mascot is named Bud Squealig. And of course you can order many different types of pork products at the stadium concession stands. Go Saints!

Birthday Pork

Yesterday was my birthday. So yes folks, that means...pig paraphernalia!!! Here are some highlights:

The best feature of this alarm clock is that you can wake up to the sound of oinking pigs. It's just like being on the farm...or sleeping next to a pig robot.

I'm not sure what inspired some toy maker to create this pig princess stuffed animal, but she sure is fabulous! And yes, that is Bacon Buddy she is hanging out with in my office. If there were people I work with who didn't already think I was weird, they definitely know now.

Some people think it is a shame that pig milk isn't a readily available product, but if you can't eat pig ice cream at least you can scoop your ice cream with a pig scooper.

Pig Mania

A simple but fun game we used to play as kids was Pig Mania (also known as Pass the Pig). There isn't a lot to this game - basically two people play against each other taking turns rolling the "dice" (which are two small plastic pigs). Depending on how the pigs land you get different point values. The first person to 100 or the person with the most points after 10 rounds wins. That's it. Pretty easy, eh? And now there's even a version of this game that you can play online. Pig Out!
